For the Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase competition, our President, Rachel Washam, regularly met 1-2 times a week with a small group of 5th graders to create a business plan along with about 6 volunteers. Out of nearly 200 competitors, our Micro group made it to the top 25 and were asked to present their business in Hot Springs. Rachel and Melanie worked with the group, named Tie Dye Legends, to create their tie-dye products and supported them at the competition. The students tie-dyed shirts, hats, lanyards, and scrunchies with regular and neon colors. With their hard work, they made over $120 in profit at this event.
